Backend Developer – Paymentology

Work Type: Hybrid (Latvia)

About the Job:
Paymentology is looking for a Backend Developer with strong Java/Kotlin skills to build scalable, high-performance backend systems. You’ll work with Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Docker to develop and optimize APIs and microservices.

Job Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.
  • Build reactive systems with WebFlux and asynchronous programming techniques.
  • Design and optimize databases using PostgreSQL.
  • Use Gradle for build automation and Docker for containerization.
  • Deploy applications on AWS infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Java/Kotlin and backend development.
  • Strong experience with Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and WebFlux.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and asynchronous programming.
  • Experience with Docker, AWS, and Gradle.

Nice-to-Have:

  • CI/CD pipeline experience.
  • Monitoring and logging tools knowledge.
